Healthcare Administration Jobs
I recently got my MBA with a focus in Healthcare Administration. I currently live in Ohio, but would like to relocate. How is the Healthcare job market? What advice would you give me on how to job hunt and relocate? I do not want to move without having a job. Any advice and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Go to the websites of the various hospitals--Duke, UNC, WakeMed, etc. Bear in mind that we have the UNC School of Public Health right here that grants a lot of MPHs locally so the market here is probably much more saturated with qualified candidates than in areas that aren't near a program like that.
Also, look into Medicaid/Medicare. Medicaid will be administered in Raleigh (or in any state capital, presuming you're looking in places other than just NC) and positions would be listed on the state personnel job listings (though NC state govt is going under the knife right now due to budget deficits.)

I can tell you that most HCA positions with Duke are filled using internal candidates. I've heard UNC is the same. I'm not sure about the other options in the area. I tell you this not to discourage you but to let you know that you may have to take a different job at first to get your foot in the door here.
