Durham company to open solar-panel factory in Vance County
Durham-based Semprius says it will open a solar-panel factory in Vance County and hire 256 during the next five years. It will receive nearly $18.3 million in state and local incentives if it meets and maintains hiring and other goals. It expects to open the factory in about a year after upfitting an existing plant. The jobs will pay an average annual salary of $45,565.
