If you click on DOT jobs, you should see Drivers License Eaxaminer openings, according to county.
And other openings.

NCDMV is a dept of NCDOT, here is a link to DOT jobs openings.

https://apps.dot.state.nc.us/personnel/jobvacancies/ (broken link)

My MIL has worked at the DMV office on New Bern Ave in Raleigh for almost 20 years. I can tell you that right now, there aren't alot of openings because they are relocating the "Call-center" from that office to another part of the state. So everyone in that dept. has been applying for any other positions they can get in that DMV building, or in the Raleigh area in order to stay with the state and not lose their benefits. Thats been about 50 or 60 people in the last 8 months that have had to look for new positions, and there are still about 22 people left in the New Bern Ave call-center until the transition of training employees in the new office is done. They've moved the call-center to an office about 60 miles away, and no one wants to make that commute, although they were all offered the chance.

Worst state agency around. Very low pay.

Look elsewhere.
