Hi everyone-
I've been looking and can't find much info on activities that my kids do (4, 6) do now in our current area.

Is there a Little League program in Wake? Johnston?

Can you recommend centers/programs for the following:
Daughter -4
Dance Center
Cheerleading

Son - 6
Little League baseball
Flag football
Basketball

Both:
Gymnastics
Soccer
Tennis

Thanks in advance!

PS Still trying to figure out what would be the best area for us!

Welcome to the area! City parks and rec have a lot of the sports you mentioned. Also the YMCA's have them. CASL is the Capital Area Soccer League. I don't know much about cheering and dancing... It will not be difficult to find good programs for your children to be involved in if you live in Wake County. (I can't speak for the other counties...)

Wake and Johnston County are very child friendly with a ton of things to do! Along with YMCA, the area Parks and Recreation departments have a lot as well. (Do a search for Raleigh Parks and Recreation or Cary Parks and Recreation, Garner parks and recreation, Apex parks and recreation, clayton parks and recreation) That should get you started.

Here are some links of a few area places that offer leagues or classes for kids in the Claytin or Cleveland area of Johnston County.

Greater Cleveland Athletic Assoiciation- offers baseball, softball, basketball, volleyball, and soccer teams. www.gcaasports.com

Clayton Little League- Clayton Little League

Morgans Gymnastics Gym- Morgan's Gymnastics Academy | Smithfield Clayton Garner Raleigh NC North Carolina

Premier Athletics- Cheerleading and dance
Premier Athletics - Clayton

Kindermusik- teaches music to children
www.kindermusikofclayton.com

Pop Warner of Cleveland- Football, cheerleading, and Dance teams for kids
Cleveland Pop Warner Association - (Garner, NC) - powered by LeagueLineup.com

That should get you started with a few things to consider for Johnston County. Like I mentioned before, the Triangle is family friendly. You will find much more when you narrow down what area you are considering. There are teams, gyms, dance studios in every area.

Good luck!

For baseball, I would try and get him in the West Raleigh League - it is one of the best. It depends though on his and your interest, which I know is hard to tell at 6. West Raleigh is pretty competitive so if that's not for you, you can look into the YMCA, city leagues, or the North Wake league.
