I was recently in south america and loved guava fruit. Do you know of anywhere i can buy the actual fruit in the Triangle area? Or anywhere else in NC?

I know the place well. It is called Taqueria El Toro and is actually on Junction Blvd. Junction Blvd is a good block before S.Wilmington on the right (coming from RGA golf course). It is right where they widened the road. I use Junction Blvd as a cut thru to Carlie C's. Best meat in town!

Walmart has the white kind. It comes in a package of 6 for around $3.

There is another, larger, Hispanic grocery store on S. Wilmington - called International Foods. It's further south by a mile or two. They probably have fresh guava. We bought frozen cubed goat meat there recently - it was some of the best goat we've ever found (good meat to fat ratio and very little bone.) The price was very fair.

You might check Compare Foods. They have a wide selection of tropical produce as well at great prices. Locations in Durham and Raleigh.
