To be quite frank with you, If you're coming in with the mentality that the south is racist, odds are regardless of what others tell you, you are going to find the south racist.

Hopefully I'm not going to sound snarky but ...

There are houses for sale here. There are also apartments for rent here. What are you looking for? What is your price range?

There are many different types of neighborhoods: urban, suburban, rural. What kind do you prefer?

There are jobs here. There are also many unemployed people. What kind of job are you seeking? Do you have the resources to support yourself if you can't find a job right away?

There are racists here (there are racists in Chicago, too ). However, the majority of people are NON-racist.

Honestly, if you want relevent information, you need to provide more details.

There are racists here and there are non-racists here. I'm not a cop so I wouldn't know if they are, but I've never had any racist dealings w/ the po po.

Which is worse? The south that you stereotype as racist or the racist who stereotypes the south?

I dont think the area will meet your needs. People over there are pretty friendly and unassuming. Since you are already coming in assuming everyone is racist, I simply don't see you liking the area.

With the exception of the downtown's of each, you wouldn't know which one you were in if you were not told.
