I am presently teaching in Maryland (PGCPS) and plan to relocate next year outside of the Raleigh area. I have been looking at property in Clayton and Fuquay Varina and thinking about possibly teaching in the area after retirement from Maryland. Can anyone give me an idea of what the high schools are like there, especially Johnston County. My area is Business (Career Technology Education). I am also open to other high schools in surrounding counties. Any information, suggestions, and ideas will be greatly appreciated.
I really liked some of the housing developments that I saw in Clayton. It looks like a nice place to live. A friend of mine moved there two years ago after retiring from the government. She absolutely loves it there (Broadmoor West). She is working as a substitute teacher at a nearby elementary school and the children and faculty seem to really appreciate her.
In the event I don't get a teaching position, I'm sure I will want to substitute two days a week at some area school.
