Hello everyone,
My husband and I are coming to the area for a visit since we will be relocating from Maryland. We are staying in Apex during our visit. Can anyone recommend a great mom and pop type breakfast place in the Apex area or not too far of a drive from Apex?

Thanks!

You should head out to the raleigh Farmer's Market. They have a great country restaurant where you can get a great meal.nn

Brigs restaurant. 2 locations in Cary. Best breakfast in the triangle IMO.

Drive down Davis Drive towards Cary and stop for coffee and a breakfast snack at Crema Coffee. Fresh on-site roasting daily.

I don't know of any true mom&pop breakfast places (single location, breakfast made to order, etc) in the Apex area that haven't closed up shop. Brigs (a small NC chain) is what I use, and there are none in Apex proper:

Not a far drive from Apex up HW 55 is a place callled. Benetis. Owned by a greek husband and wife. Great coffee and awesome pancakes. Everything is made from scratch. Not many people go there on Sunday so you can take your time and enjoy yourself. I've been to Brigs and I would definelty chose Benetis over it.

I second Benetis. I have never been there for brunch but ate there for lunch when I worked in RTP quite often. Good good and the servers are so nice.

I third Benetis. Also, there's a Deli in Morrisville in the strip mall at Davis & Morrisville Carpenter Road that's pretty good. There's a Dunkin Donuts & Smithfield BBQ in the strip, so it's pretty easy to find.

Another place that's really fabulous is in downtown Cary called Chatham Street Cafe. It's really worth the trip!!

Do NOT go to the Raleigh Farmers Market. If you eat here, you'll most likely decide not to relocate haha. It's seriously the worst food I've eaten, anywhere. It's that's bad....

I unfortunately don't have any recommendations, but again, avoid the Farmers Market at all cost.
