Well, the best Mexican is found in Mebane, yeah!!! whooda thunk that such a small town would have such a great Mexican Restaurante, DM me for directions, they are quite simple. I spent a bit of time South, and speak Mexican Spanish fairly well. I have been served Hispanic fare in S. C. and N. America, this place, were it located in "La Cuidad", it would be just as packed every night. Another little tip, get the Flan for dessert.

Just left the Triangle a few days ago, and I appreciate all your suggestions. I ended up at OnlyBurger for a burger, thought it was really good, definitely better than Five Guys or Red Robin IMO (though they are both very good). After struggling to park, I finally made it to Carrburritos, also very good. Just had sushi at Weaver St Market one night too, it was pleasant to sit outside.
Really enjoyed my visit to the Triangle area - I think we may want to move there one day. Liked Chapel Hill/Carrboro best, though COL probably highest in area which might force us to north Raleigh, Cary or north Durham. Beautiful area, glad I could spend some time exploring the area.
Dang!!! Ya missed Mebane!! Had you dined at La Cocina for Mexican and gotten there fairly early in the evening, you might have been the only gringo in the house. I spent several years working in Latin America and this may well be the best Mexican food I have ever eaten.
Hacienda Ristorante...oh wait, do you really want Mexican food or white people Mexican food? 'cause Hacienda Ristorante is so good and near authentic they don't bother to speak English. You're probably looking for Tex-Mex junk, so any place will do.
