JQ Public
My teacher used to say this in the place of joe schmoe or john doe. It was pretty anonymous so it stuck as my username.

Created my name just after I found out I landed a job in Raleigh following 3 years in CT of dreaming of making the move to NC. I had 2 weeks to shift my life and make the move to Raleigh, and this forum is where I came for help to find a place to live during the transition.
After being here over a year and a half, my username still fits what I think of this area and the people here!

CAKD= I joined this board 6 plus years ago while we were considering a move from CA (California) and the KD are my initials. So nothing too original here. Now that we have been living here 5 years I find I still occasionally check in to see what is happening around Raleigh!

akleeuw - ak because I used to live in Alaska for 23 years until I moved here. Leeuw is Dutch for lion, and I like lions. It is in dutch because I was an exchange student to Flemish Belgium 20 years ago and learned Dutch...to some degree.
I am a regular lurker here and enjoy this forum

WOW..we are really amazed at the folks who move here (anywhere south) from the snow ravaged areas like AK...that has to be the biggest climatic shock known to man...
