Shopping center in Cary is sold - Real Estate News - NewsObserver.com

Will new ownership deliver more/better retail options to residents of the area?

I don't think Lincoln Harris did a very good job promoting the CP Town Center. With 5000 homes and no competition in West Cary every unit should have been let with a good choice of shops and restaurants. Yes we had a recession, but 100's of people were still moving to the area every month and it's only in the last month it looks like it is coming to life with the pizza shop and frozen yogurt place opening. All they did was give us 3 banks Let's hope the new owners do a better marketing job and improve the place as it should be a vibrant center with the right collection of stores and restaurants for residents to spend money locally. No doubt the McDonals under construction will bring even more people than the Harris Teeter so foot traffic will increase substantially

My wish is that another supermarket is built nearby to give HT's a run.

Are there really any spots left? I only saw 4 available locations left on the Lincoln Harris website, and they aren't any of the anchor spots.

How much could they really change?

Is it true that no "bar" can go in?

The pizza place has a full [separate room] bar. The place has a hastily furnished look.

Looks like a Mexican restaurant popped up there recently. It's a local chain called Los Tres Magueyes. I just drove by...but is in open?

The Mexican restaurant is open. We've been there once and liked it. It is a welcome addition to Amante, Yolo, Spring Kitchen, McDonald's, and Subway.

Nice. I walked out of the Harris Teeter yesterday and there was such a great smell in the air so I had to go searching to figure out from where it was coming. Probably and Italian/Mexican/Chinese/Micky D's aroma mixture.
