Trader Joes is scouting in North Raleigh near Stickland/Falls of Neuse I heard from a trusted source. They have big plans in this area it seems.

But for me I like Harris Teeter the best. They have and excellent selection, clean stores, and have some really great deals. And thank goodness there building one at Wake Crossroads at Forestville Rd. That will be that much closer. Currently I have to go to Heritage of Falls of Neuse. And I shop at Super Target a lot also.

Foodlion I shop occasionally for last minute items and what not for convienience reasons. Kroger is confusing and stuff.

Capital City Grocery just opened up downtown Ral at Seaboard Station. It's pretty nice place...a throwback to the good old days of an independent, locally-owned grocery store. Great atmosphere, easy to get into and out (no big crowds), good personal service (instead of some bored high school student throwing your stuff in a bag). That kinda thing. Nice change.

Wegmans...I so miss Wegmans. I'm hoping that they'll eventually make their way to NC. They're already in VA...when I worked for them years ago (I won't say how many!!) their goal was Philly...marching south!! I hope!

They are not just a grocery store...they are a destination!!!

Wegmans won't make it this far south. Going into Northern VA was a stretch for them.... heck, going down to PA and Downstate NY was a stretch for them. lol. It's not that they wouldn't be revceived well down here; it's just that they are more of a "northern company". If they don't sell Perry's Ice Cream or Zwiegle's Red Hots; it's not a Wegmans.

Oh Wegman's-

I mean simply amazing grocery store. My bf family is in upstate NY and I was spoiled by going there everytime we visit. Their dips are to die for. I want some right now!!!!

For now I am still looking for my store, I have been here 2 months and I think I have tried them all. To be honest nothing catches my eye. I think the produce is where its lacking. i hope to check out the farmer's markets instead for that stuff.
