We're thinking of purchasing a home in the Bedford community at Falls River. Can anyone tell me about this neighborhood and the middle and high school that it feeds into. Feel free to send me a private message, but please only reply if you have direct personal experience.

We live in Bedford and love it here.

The schools are Wakefield Middle School and Wakefield High School. My kids attended the middle school and are now in the high school.

I'll be glad to answer any questions you have. Also, you might want to search this forum for Bedford.

Good luck!

I'm in Bedford too. Some parts of the neighborhood have Durant Road Middle, which is year round. If you want traditional, your option is West Millbrook. It's a bit screwed up. Everybody is Wakefield High.

Of course, they are looking at a new assignment model for next year where you won't have a 'base' school--you have to rank your choices and hope you get your top one.

We live in Bedford (had a house built about 5+ years ago when we moved from California) and love it! Our youngest went to Wakefield Middle (8th grade) and Wakefield High (She graduated a little over a year ago). As soon as I drove through the neighborhood I knew it was for us. It has a great community feel to it. We have several parks, clubhouse, 2 pools, gym, restaurants, new greenway and a lot of open space so there are always people out and about. The dues are very low for what you get (approx $60 or $65/month). There are always things going on...whether it be a concert on the green, movie night at the pool, Pancakes with Santa, and so much more. You will find things for people of all ages. My husband and I have talked about moving since our dream has always been to have a real farm (and our kids are grown now) however every time we think about actually putting our house up for sale I just can't do it. I've made some awesome friends here and really love what the community and area has to offer.

If you have any further questions feel free to send me a DM
