New 4-lane Falls of Neuse bridge to open Oct 15 at 9am

The road is coming along nicely. I rode my bike up there last night just before "fall" arrived and they have rough pavement right up to the bridge concrete. The bridge is very near to being ready. Looks like they are working on ancillary parts of it and not anything major. If my daughter wasn't with me I could have easily hopped the 6" curb and ridden across the river without a problem. It's so close I can feel it.

As long as they are Dunkin Donuts...feel free to bring as many to the bridge opening and run that you can..... Keep your money, just bring the donuts....
