Hi,

We are a family of four (husband and wife in their late 30's, and two boys, 4 and 6 weeks), relocating to the Raleigh area. We want to rent/lease a home for about 6 months, possibly to a year, prior to purchasing our primary home. Since we are focusing on the Cary area, that would be our preference. We do have three boxers (older, and not very active). We would be fine with paying extra in order to accommodate them. Also, we are currently homeowners and promise to care for your home as though it was our own.
We are originally from New England, relocated to Argyle, TX about 7 years ago, and love it. However, hubby's job is taking us to N Carolina, so it's time for us to start again!

Thanks in advance for any leads.

Perhaps craigslist.org be a good place to post. Be cautious, of course,
but many honest people post their property there. Welcome to the area!

I would start with Craigslist. There are several rental companies in the area, and I think a number of them use craigslist. One that comes to mind is Block and Associates. Or NC home rentals. I'm in Cary and a couple houses in my neighborhood were recently listed for rent by them. I think the pet policy depends on the homeowner though.

You can also go through an agent for rentals. Some handle that. There are plently of rentals on the MLS.
