Cary is not a big fan of signs out at the middle of intersections and stuff, but what the heck. I did buy the $1 garage sale signs at Lowes yesterday. Thanks for all of the help!

In Raleigh at least, the signs are against city ordinance when posted in the city right-of-way. This includes posting on "telephone poles".

But assuming you want to be like everyone else and ignore those issues, please be kind enough to remove the signs after the yard sale is over!

Good luck with your sale!

But don't post things on telephone poles in Chapel Hill or you *will* get a $75 fine if they see you.

you can also post it on Cary Yard Sales - Cary, North Carolina, in addition to the section for items for sale (like craigslist) the yard sale section will actually show all of the sales on a map

just make sure that the arrows on your signs to your house are clearly marked & should have a good turn-out

if you're planning for this weekend, though, sometimes holiday weekends are hit & miss... people may be in vacation mode & not looking for a bargain OR they may be on vacation & looking to find some great deals

good luck!
