Hi there! We recently moved to the area and I am looking for input on any holiday festivities! I have a 7 year old daughter whom I love to do all kinds of holiday activities with. Looking for a great pumpkin patch, and fall festivities, and Christmas tree farms, as well as Christmas festivities. Any advice or input on this would be soo very much appreciated!!!

Thank you so much!!!

Carolina Parent magazine and website might be a good resource for you.

There's an International Festival this weekend in downtown Raleigh.

There's Hillridge Farms for pumpkins and kid fun. Check fees, they tend to add up quickly.

There's the Christmas Carol play every year.

In October, the NC Fair is a lot of fun.

You can also look at the Raleigh Parks and Recreation web page to see if anything is happening: http://www.raleighnc.gov/search/cont...nMainPage.html

And check the Cary one, too.

The Nutcracker produced by Carolina Ballet is a fun family tradition.
GORGEOUS sets, costumes, and dancers from age 5 to professional.

I second ncjoy's suggestion of the Carolina Ballet Nutcracker.

Another great introduction to the ballet for a 7 year old (although not a holiday production) is Raleigh Dance Theatre's Storybook Tales.

for the "farm" related activities Got To Be NC is a great resource:
NC Farm Fresh

Carolina Parent and WRAL-Mom Blog, mentioned above, are great too!
