Hey everyone,
I am an incoming NCSU grad student, and am thinking of taking a 1 bedroom apartment at Inman Park. I visited it yesterday, and the apartment looks very nice for $800/month. Since its located right off of Glenwood Ave and very close to Crabtree Valley mall, the location is good too. I was wondering if any of you have had previous experience with Inman Park, or have any other opinions that you could possibly share. Also, are there any grocery stores around the area? I have heard that there are a few more restaurants planning to come around that area by October, so that should be good too. Thanks for your comments. If there are other communities that you know of that are in the similar ranges, please share those too. Thanks.

Try apartmentratings.com

Traffic can be an issue there.

The only problem with apartmentratings.com is that I take the opinions with a grain of salt. Inman Park has a 56% approval rating, but mostly very good reviews. I see what you mean about the traffic, but I am coming from NJ, and this is a blessing.

Look for trends in the reviews.

A common complaint across several reviews is most likely valid.

I remember looking at Inman Park when it opened. Seemed rather overpriced.

My sister in law lives there and really likes it. I had briefly looked at homes there 3 years ago but had heard that getting out of the neighborhood was an issue because of traffic. My SIL said that it hasn't been a problem for her.
