Ive been in NC 2 Halloween's now. Not sure if it is just me but does it seem like Halloween & Trick or Treating is dwindling. It's kind of sad and I feel like kids just are not outside as much as a whole. Could be just me or the fact that I have no kids. But just sad and makes the neighborhoods feel older...

I have had less Trick or Treaters this year. I am blaming the weather for it. It's been raining and crummy out all evening. I've had about 15 kids total. Now I am sleepy and about to turn my light off. I usually wait till 8:30.

I probably had 100 kids - I bought 185 pieces of candy and I don't have too much left. It was definitely more low key with the weather but it stopped raining by me about 6:30.

We've had the same amount of kids coming by this year as others; thankfully there's been no rain this evening.

Not as many here; I think the chilly rain had a lot to do with that. It's been 2-3 pieces each for them, 1 for me....

It's been cold and raining. Both of mine have asthma and colds. No way could they trick or treat in this weather. We attempted to take them to Crabtree for at least something. That place was an insane madhouse. We came home and had a few that came out in the rain. Last year we probably had 100.

I think we had about 40. Usually, I would expect about 60.

The cool thing... It was almost all smaller kids in the 5 to 7 range.
I think the oldest would have been about 11.

I think we had fewer as well, which I blame on the weather more than anything. Last year the weather was great and the whole neighborhood was out walking large stretches of neighborhood streets in search for that next piece of candy (and hot dog and hot chocolate or apple cider).

Several groups of teenagers moved through in the past hour, which I found a bit annoying since I had already turned off lights and blown out the pumpkins. What more does a person need to do to indicate the candy store is closed for the night?

It was our first Halloween in our new place so we were excited for the trick or treaters! But we only got about 6 kids, most from our street. But it was awfully chilly and rainy here. Hoping for better next year! Otherwise we won't buy the huge Costco bags of candy anymore...we are going to gain some weight!
