Where to get diamond chip replaced?
I bought a wedding band from Jareds several years ago. The cost was $660 for the band which included 36 little diamond chips. Well, one of the little chips fell out and when I went to get it replaced, they were wanting to charge $130 to replace the one little diamond chip. Any suggestions for where to go to get a fair price?

You could try a local jewelry repair shop, but really? I doubt you'll get anyone who will do it for much less than a hundred bucks.
Working with small diamonds means you are likely to break some before you can get one set. That's taken into consideration when most places price the replacement of a stone.

that does seem steep. my engagement ring & wedding band both have sets of small pavé set diamonds, of which i managed to somehow crack two of them & chip a third! we were able to get the original jeweler who made my ring & from whom we ordered my wedding band to replace &/or repair them for $80 for the diamonds + labor (which isn't too bad in the grand scheme of things). unfortunately, he's in the boston, MA area which is not helpful to you.
i will say that i know when my husband was pricing engagement & wedding bands around here at jewelers (& this was with him bringing in a family heirloom diamond for the setting), he found them signficantly higher than a local jeweler in the boston-area where he's from. so, i imagine that any work done on them would be higher, as well. i'd keep pricing it around. unfortunately, that type of setting for these smaller diamond "chips" is very temperamental & its why i managed to crack two & chip a third.
best of luck to you.

Shop around and never be afraid to go 20 to 50 miles to get a better price...
I wish you well...
