Default Places to take a proctored exam for an online class

Does anyone know of any exam proctor sites in the Raleigh area? I am taking classes online at a university out of state and must take a proctored exam. The University will mail the materials to the testing center. I was trying to find the cheapest option possible. I'm not even sure how I would go about doing this at a community college or university or who I'd even have to call. So can anyone reccomend a testing site? And do you know their fees? And also, who I would hae to talk to when I'd call the testing site to make an apointment?Below are the approved proctors for exams....

  • Full-time school or public librarian
  • Hospital Educational Counselor
  • Guidance counselor/counseling staff
  • Full-time teacher or staff member

  • Military base/station education officer
  • Base commander
  • Local college testing center

At one point I believe I heard that Wake County library locations do this...not sure of the details though. Hit up the Wake County library web site to see if they still do this?

You could try checking with the local location of Prometric Services: Testing and Assessment

Yes, various branches of the Wake County Public Library system provide free exam proctoring by appointment. Check out this web page for a branch in Raleigh (Cameron Village, North Regional, Olivia Raney) for more info:
