Anyone know of a restaurant that will be serving black eyed peas tomorrow? New Years Day being a Sunday my wife says our kitchen is closed. Looking for a restaurant that will be open on Sunday and have the traditional black eyed peas.

OP, perhaps K&W cafeteria will have them at Cameron Village?

The Pit...from the Empire Eats website:

The Pit

Champagne toast? More like SHINE-pagne toast! Come to The Pit for $3 flavored moonshine shots on New Year's Eve to ring in the New Year the North Carolina way.

The real attraction for the New Year at The Pit is on New Year's Day for our heirloom collard greens and black eyed peas for "cash and luck" on the first day of the year! We'll have plenty, both for dining in the restaurant and by the pint for sharing with the whole family at home.

Fullsteam Brewery in Durham is hosting Slow Food Triangle's Traditional Southern New Years Day event. I'm guessing you can find black eyed peas there.

Do yourself a favor and cook some Hoppin John. You will never eat black eyed peas alone again.

Buffalo's wild cafe on Creedmoor Road had a "special" today. $7.95 for pulled pork, collards, black eye peas, cornbread. I had wings.

Stopped in at Whole Foods late this afternoon and they also had black eye peas on their hot bar.

I discovered the best black eyed peas in town recently at the Community Deli on Oberlin Road. Great collards too!
