OHMYGOD.

I absolutely ADORE them. He is brilliant. I hope he does a reading sometime.

Do the DJ's on 96.1 count as celebrities?

That is indeed Raleigh you see in part of the Nickelback video.

Lewis Black of standup and Comedy Central fame has a place in Chapel Hill where he spends some of his time (probably the colder months). I believe his other place is in Hell's Kitchen in NYC.

David Sedaris comes here on most of his book tours. He often reads at Quail Ridge Books. Quail Ridge Books & Music Keep an eye on their calendar as it is often a mob scene. I saw him there about two years ago and the whole family turned out for the event, including Amy. I think Amy read here on the tour for her cookbook, too.

Quail Ridge also gets several other excellent local writers. I'm a big fan of mystery author Margaret Maron. Charles Frazier, the author of Cold Mountain, is also local. If you click "Local Authors" on the Quail Ridge site they have a full list.

The Regulator in Durham also gets a lot of readings by local authors. Regulator Bookshop

Oh that is phenomenal. To see the whole family turn out...what a trip...thank you so much!! I am such a huge fan of his.

By the way I cannot believe I forgot that they grew up in Raleigh *sigh*
