I met Lewis Black when I was working at Bombay Company at Southpoint almost two years ago. He came to pick up a desk. My coworker graduated from Durham School of the Arts, an old teacher of his is friends with Lewis and was helping him pick up the desk. We were all talking and he is a really nice guy!

LOL, here's an awful picture my coworker took of Lewis and I in the bright sun with my cell phone in front of a dumpster. (the sun was so bright he couldn't see what he was doing)

Clay Aiken, Big Daddy Kane, and Elizabeth Dole came to Nordstrom when I worked there.

I heard rumors that Steven Segal was spotted in N. Raleigh...but you know how rumors go. I do know for sure that Robert De Niro's double was living in Durham. There is also a former boxing pro living in Buies Creek. Andy Griffith has a place at the coast.

That former boxing pro that xcop mentions is Bonecrusher Smith, who once was the Heavyweight champion. He from Magnolia and grauated from Shaw making him the only heavyweight champ to hold a college degree. Andy Griffith is from Mt Airy and graduated from UNC. He has had a fine home in Manteo for a long time.

A few short years ago, my daughter was adamant that she saw Brian McKnight standing in front of the Target store on Capital Boulevard. I told her, "Umm, honey, no, I don't think so. Celebrities do not hang out at the Target store in Raleigh." She held her ground.

It wasn't until I saw Brian McKnight on Celebrity Apprentice this past season and found out that the charity he was playing for, Youthville, USA is located on Falls of Neuse Road in Raleigh. Someone with his last name is listed as president.

So who knows, maybe Brian McKnight WAS once standing out in front the Target store!

I think Maya Angelou lives in Winston Salem. She teaches at Wake Forrest. My husband and I met her at Bojangles. No one ever believes us, but she was at a speaking engagement in Raleigh that night. She got out of the car to use the restroom while her driver was going through the drive thru. She said hello to us and we were flabbergasted. I am never star struck, and I wasn't then. But I did kindly tell her how inspirational her writing was to me. She thanked me and gave me a hug. She was really sweet.

I would probably faint if I saw David Bowie at Lowes. Rock Gods don't go to Lowes!

I was told Salman Rushdie has a house with no windows in Chapel hill. Anybody else ever hear that. My Real estate agent told me that.
