Just received a response from Department of transportaion:
Thank you. I don’t think the engineering firm reviewing this site is aware of the special track out schedule of Alston Ridge ES. I’m actually getting ready to send them an email asking for a status of their analysis and I’ll make they’re aware of the school schedule for Alston Ridge.
Thanks for the input, all the feedback we get from our citizens is helpful.
I just heard back from the Caption of the Police department and a light has been recommended by the private survey company for this intersection. Now DOT and the Developer go back and work things out. Not sure the timeline.
I saw the accident too. One of the cars' airbags fully deployed and the other car was very damaged. I hope they get this light up soon. I feel like there is an accident there every 3-4 days.
seems like accidents are continuing to occur. Nothing there yet indicating progressing towards getting stoplights put up. Anyone have any further information?
I read somewhere else that it will take 4-5 months. I have started avoiding that intersection during rush hour.
Saw some construction activity yesterday near the intersection (corner towards Tradition at Stonewater). Looks like they are getting the ground ready to build something. Anyone knows what is being built?
Emailed the Town's engineer, and he said they just received the plans from the developer for the signal. It won't likely be operational until late-spring/summer.
