Default "Young Married" or "20s/30s" Sunday school class

Hello, my wife and I just moved to the area couple of months ago. We are looking for a decent Sunday school class for 20 and young 30 year olds in Durham or Chapel Hill, preferable in a Methodist church. We have tried multiple area churches, but have so far been disappointed with either very low attendance or the extreme diversity of age of the attendees.

Sorry to sound so picky, but we just want to find somewhere we can feel comfortable and relate to people around our own age.

Thanks for any suggestions!

Hi Turkish!

I don't know if location in an issue for you but one church I would suggest is Cary Christian in Cary. It's practically off I-40's exit to Walnut Street and Crossroads Plaza and it has many people your age! The average age I've been told is around 30, and it has plenty of small groups that meet through out the week targeted towards your age-groups. I know all the ministers of it are in their 30's and have young kids, so don't worry about there being no one there to understand you. I think services are at 9:30 and 11:00. I know it's not Methodist but I hear it is a great little church (about 170 or so) and is growing. Check it out!

Default 2 great Sunday Schools classes

Two churches worth checking out are:
Aldersgate United Methodist Church off Umstead Rd. in Northern Durham and Blacknall Presbyterian Church on Perry St. (between Duke campus and 9th Street)
I am especially knowledgeable of the adult classes at Blacknall -- as a member of that church I can attest to the number of young couples w/wo children. Their music is phenomenal and the outreach programs are there if you want to be involved. Never any pressure. You can be as active or passive as you want. Two Sunday services 8:30 and 11:00 with Sunday School in between.

Good luck!
