APEX: Costco might come to Apex | Apex | CaryNews.com
I have spoken to a friend and they confirmed to me that this is the site of a future Costco. It will be located next to the Kroger shopping center on US 64. He said planned store is almost 150,000 square feet and will feature a gas station. Still a little far from Fuquay but a 15 minute drive isn't that bad.

Excellent news.. and as a bonus, it's closer to my house than MacGregor Village!

The site plan sure looks like a Costco. As a plus, this is 3 miles from home for me!

I do like how it will be connected to both Lake Pine and Laura Duncan.
Now if only NCDOT could get moving with the US64 interchanges on those streets, we'd be set.

22 miles for me. :-(

I think that's what I find frustrating about this area, having moved from a bigger metropolitan city. I took for granted there that there was a Costco near me. Here, we're thinking of dropping our membership because it's just too far.

For the fun of it, I looked it up and in my old hood (NoVA) there were 14 Costcos within 22 miles of my house. Here there is 1 - soon to be 2.

Not bad! Although in Apex, it will still be very very close to Cary town limits and closer to me than MacGregor

Isn't there a Costco in Durham? That makes 3!

Durham is 15 miles away. Raleigh is over 30 miles away for me. My husband works in Burlington but there's none there either, which is why we are thinking of letting our membership lapse. It's a bit of a pain to get there. And the gas prices eat into our savings.

Nice -- this location is less than 4 miles from my house, which is about 15 miles closer than the Raleigh Costco!

I would hate to live in an area so congested that there are 14 Costcos within 22 miles.
