Been living in the Triangle for two years and can't find black raspberry ice cream anywhere. I've looked in Kroeger, Harris Teeter, Lowes, Food Lion and even Whole Foods - I can't even find an ice cream stand in the triangle that sells it .

Hum...I'll keep my eyes open...but I don't recall seeing it, but then again, it's not really a flavor I look for either.
Not quite the same, but tomorrow's flavor of the day at Goodberry's in 'Blackberry'.
Part of the problem may be that black raspberries don't grow in the wild here; it's just too hot. So it probably isn't a familiar local flavor. Black raspberries are everywhere in Pennsylvania and the north so folks have incorporated them into the cuisine.
You must be thinking of Friendly's black raspberry ice cream! There are only two Friendly's restaurants in the state and I'm guessing none of the supermarkets carry that flavor.
I miss Friendly' and a little shop called Calico & Creme in Mass - they make all their own ice cream. I did get my dose though we were there for vacation and I ate it for dessert everyday!!! Keep searching!
Me too! I just may have to open my own ice cream shop! I also miss hot dog buns that you can grill!
Why can't you do that here? Sorry...but I just did that over the weekend.....not that hard.
I do notice that white house cherry and rum raisan don't seem to be that popular in the area...but you can find them in a few national brands if you look hard enough.
I think I've seen Black Raspberry at Maple View Farms (Carrboro). It's worth a call if you're not in the CH/Carrboro area...
