I'm trying to gather as much information about Winterville as possible. What kind of medical care is in the area, what is the weather like-summer and winter. What is the housing like, is it a safe town to live in? Is there a town center? What are the property taxes like in the area?
We're beginning to investigate a place to retire and want to head south. We're tired of shovelling 10-12 inches of snow several times during the winter and tired of the bitterly cold and windy winters. We want to be about 1 1/2 to 2 hours from the beaches and want to have access to an airport.
We're looking for quiet residential communities or 55+ active adult communities. Anyone with information, please let me know.
