Olde Liberty Golf & Country Club
Does anyone have any information about Olde Liberty Golf & Country Club subdivision being built in Franklin County by KHov? I am really interested to know if anyone has any thoughts about Khov as a builder, reputation, problems etc. The neighborhood seems to be going pretty good but that can be misleading since it is still new. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

We strolled the models a few months back and they were not impressed.
We went in 2 models and 3 on the ground houses, and cannot say we personally would tell anyone we know to consider those houses. I am not a fan of national builders to begin with, but I at least looked at them.
Hopefully someone can say something positive, as I cannot.
I can get a custom built home just down the road for less or the same, with the quality, .

Don't know much about the builder, but the golf course is open and it's great.

We drove through Olde Liberty but homes were too close together for our liking. We went down the road two miles to Stoneridge and bought a larger new home on a nice acre lot. We feel we have the best of both worlds--a larger home with a larger lot and great golf close by. Stoneridge is slow taking off but I think that is just because of overbuilding in this down (understatement) economy!

I am not familiar with this golf course/ country club. It does not appear to be a favorable location for a nice CC.

It is a new development. I wouldn't imagine too many heard of it yet.

We lived in a KHOV townhome in Md prior to relocating to NC and it was okay. We now own a custom built home in Youngsville and there is no comparison. We don't live in Olde Liberty, but approx a few miles away in Winston Ridge and we love it.
Pray this helps.

Olde Liberty has been under construction for about 7 years now due to many changing of hands and disputes.
The land is pretty, but I agree with other posters. You can find better homes and ammenities elsewhere.
There are olenty of golf courses that you can tee off without being a member. I know my husband has no problem going, lol!

FYI, Olde Liberty Golf Course opened in late May 2008. They are using a temporary clubhouse until their permanent one is built. We are still out-of-state and are not yet living in our new house up the road so I haven't played it yet but my husband (18 handicap) and friend (8 handicap) have played it and really like it. We are retired and play a lot of golf so plan to join in the fall but course is public as well. We met a couple guys in Applebees one night who were just off the course and they liked it as well if not better than Heritage. Here is the link if you want to check it out.
