I thought it was a weird question, but he insisted that there are stilly many areas that don't...thanks for the response. Do you happen to know the company?

Some remote parts of Holly Springs may not get it but most of Holly Springs is quite suburban.
Time Warner Cable for sure, there may be others. Yeah, TWC is not fun!
I live in Holly Glen, which is off Avent Ferry and we get high speed with TWC, I currently have 30/5 and they offer a 50/5 if you feel you really need it. I work from home and have no problems with the 30/5 connection.
I really hate TWC though (but that's another long story), but don't have a lot of other choice

Yeah, if you live in a neighborhood, cable internet through Time Warner shouldn't be an issue and DSL (or maybe U-verse) through AT&T will likely be available, too.
If you live on your own separate parcel, then availability of either will depend on how close you are to the rest of civilization.
Worst comes to worst you could always get 4G MiFi through Verizon and as long as you have Verizon service you'll have fast service (but maybe not as fast as cable). I have it and it's very acceptable.
The options I have where I live in Holly Springs, which is on the side near Sunset Lake Rd is:
Time Warner - All the way up to 50MB if you want
Century Link - 10MB max I think it is
Clear - 4G Wireless - Get around 5MB on my Sprint phone with this.
I know in some parts on the Apex side of Holly Springs you can get AT&T for DSL, but I think the cutoff is around Arbor Creek on that. Once you go past there, then Century Link becomes your local phone provider and not AT&T anymore. I don't know that they have UVERSE anywhere in Holly Springs that I am aware of.
