I'm not sure you'd want your kids swimming in that lake with the amount of fertilizer/chemical run off that I'm sure is in it. I wouldn't eat fish out of there either though plenty of people seem to eat catfish from there.

And you gotta watch your kids like a hawk at Kids Together because there is so much landscaping that they can easily be out of sight in a blink of an eye. Especially if you have a little one still in a stroller along with an older child. Difficult to keep up because of all of the shrubs and winding sidewalks. Hard to go 4-wheelin with the Graco.

Interesting; one reason I always liked it is that it is fenced almost all the way around and not all that large so I could keep kids in sight or know where they were when they popped out of sight and move to where I could see them while still always keeping the way out in sight also. I have 4 kids, so containment was an appealing feature.

KidsTowne/Kelly Rd. park, Apex: My kids love this one, they call it Castle Park. I find it's probably the easiest to supervise kids there. Con - No shade at all. That makes it miserable in the pit of summer, but it's our go to from Oct. to May.

Bond has shade but gets very crowded on weekends...BUT...it's the family friendly Triangle. ALL of the parks are crowded on weekends.

Pullen: A fun place to tag team, exhausting on your own with the younger ones. Not our every week play date place, but a nice park to hit every now and then.

Kid's Together: The kids like it. I find I have to keep schlepping from the swingy part to the climby part. Both parts are easily supervisable, if your kids will stay in one part or the other. Mine don't.
