Does anybody know of a place that grill their chicken Mexican style, like the West Coast restaurant El Pollo Loco? You could order a whole, half or slice chicken with some side Mexican dishes. Looks like they started to invade the East Coast, well at least in Connecticut

I used to get their Ultimate Polo Chicken Bowl, yum! yum!

I haven't seen any chains like El Pollo Loco since I moved back to NC from SoCal a few years ago. The closest thing I've found is Mami Nora's, which is Peruvian and definitely more authentic than El Pollo.

Agree! You can order 1/4, 1/2 or a whole chicken combo plus 2 sides, which are all yummy. The place is packed at lunch and dinner in Raleigh.

If this is the place on Wake Forest (or is it Capital?) that used to be the Oak City Diner, then I totally agree!

To sort of piggy back on this, are there any places that make their own tortillas? I miss that.
