Default porch rocking chairs

Where do you find them? Specifically where can you find them locally in colors other than white or natural. Okay even more specifically in black. Lowes has then in white and natural wood. Cracker Barrel has them in white, natural or UNC blue. I need them in black to match my house! Where else can I find them? I found them online but would love to save myself from paying the shipping. Thanks!

Is there a place you can buy wood chairs and apply the finish yourself?

We applied the finish to my grandmother's porch chairs. She also didn't want white.

the joke in my family (is me) and how many rockers I bought and then returned (because of quality...including the places you mention above)...until I finally found the right ones. Not sure if they have them in black but the company name is Troutman Chair Company (located in Troutman, NC). They do not sell them directly but they are very nice there, and will be able to tell you if they make them in black or not (also where they sell them). I bought ours (and then my parents) at Belmont General Store in Belmont, NC. Good Luck!

Your house is black? You could probably find one at an unfinished furniture store and paint it black yourself.

black shutters maybe?
The black chairs would look sharp on any porch really... they would really "pop"

I don't really think those chairs are comfortable. Have you ever seen the rocker gliders that seat two people?? They are awesome!

If you are interested try the flea market at the fairgrounds. They probably have the rocking chairs like you are talking about as well. I have the black rocker gliders on my front porch. Once you sit down, you can't get up!

Also try the outlet malls in Smithfield. (Carolina Pottery) Rocking chairs of all colors!

I picked the black shutters and black glass door too, actually the first time I noticed a black door was in a Cary subdivision and I said I've got to get a black door and luckily my builder offered those colors. I also have an old washed out cream colored brick with little specles of black. It's pretty sharp, I can imagine Cakd's is really nice!!
