Healthy food lunch places around 98 with Capital?
It looks like the area around Capital BLVD with 98 is filled with fast food places, McDonalds, Burger King, Wendys, BoJangles, etc. etc. I don't mind having those once in a while but definitely not on a daily basis.
Any secret places good for a healthy lunch like a deli or panini or salad etc in that area? THANKS!

Does it have to be ‘right’ there? If you go into Wake Forest it’s self, Skippers is open for lunch now. There is the Mexican place across the street from them. Also another one down Union Church
In the area, the Lowe’s grocery store there as a deli counters that has soup (or it did at one point). Most of them have salad options. Super Target has a small deli as well that will grill deli sandwiches. I don’t personally like any of the Chinese food resturant there.
PTA Pizza has salads I believe.
Ah…..hummm….there is an Applebee’s there (Weight Watchers Salads)…..you should be able to find something. Carolina Ale House (other end of retail from that area) has salads to.

The Village Deli on 1A a bit south of 98 off of Capital is good and has healthy items on it.
Shuckers on the south-bound side of Capital about 3 mins south of Capital and 98 has seafood.

Shuckers in not open at lunch time. They don't open until around 4 or 5.

Thanks! I have to try this Village Deli and check out the deli on Target.
Today I tried this mexican place called "Los Tres Meyenes(sp?)". The food was just OK. The decoration was kinda scary though

definitely try village deli, it is one of my favorites for good salads. Also, o'charleys has some good salads that will fill you up.
sometimes we go to rudino's (where the home depot is) because they have good sandwiches (grinders).
