So I was in the food court a few months ago at Southpoint and I swear, they had West Elm listed on their "upcoming stores" sign.

Was I imagining things???

I am excited about Lululemon coming to Southpoint! Also, Vera Bradley and Sperry Topsider. I can't remember the other stores, but there was quite a list.

That would be fantastic if West Elm is actually coming to the area. Maybe next we can get an IKEA

Well, there aren't anymore trees to cut down - so I don't think so.

The rumor I heard was that Bose was leaving Southpoint and West Elm was then going into that vacant spot. Of course, I heard that before the holidays, so who knows what is going on now.

I don't think the Bose spot is nearly big enough for a West Elm. They would want something as big as the Crate and Barrel spot I would think. But I also heard a lot of indoor shops are leaving so they could take over a chunk of those.

I was shopping in the Charlotte West Elm over Easter and the staff there confirmed that a West Elm location was opening up at Southpoint in August, 2012.
