I really hope we get some of the rain they are forecasting. Seems like all week the forecast kept changing with predictions of just how much rain we will get going down. Here is an article from today's N&O. Below is a picture of two lawns, one watered and one not watered. Quite a difference!

This picture is from the above article in the N&O and was taken by the Staff photographer Ted Richardson

I am keeping my fingers crossed! It's been hard to see the forcast change this week. First they thought it would rain all day on Thursday and Friday. Then all day Friday. Now, it's supposed to rain Friday afternoon and evening. I hope it starts soon! It's been so so many months since the whole area got a good soaking. One of our neighbors is a professional gardener & she says that the area should green up nicely with just a day or 2 of good rain. I guess we'll see!

I sure hope so! Parts of Falls Lake look like the pictures you see of dry lake beds. All I can say is conserve water all you can! I wonder how many gallons of water is spent making ice cubes in all the eating establishiment, especially fast food places. Then the cup gets thrown away once the person is done with the liquid part of the drink. I am not suggesting giving up ice but I bet that a lot of water is consumed in making ice!

I just look at the radar and it looks crystal clear in Wake. There is rain/thunderstorms on the western side of Winston but the radar indicated it moving North than East. I guess we'll still have to wait it out and see what's coming and keep our fingers crossed.

The weather channel looks like they have revised their forcast. It originally said that we would get .25 inches today and .50 or more tonight, but now it just shows .25 tonight. It needs to start moving a little farther east. Anytime now...
