We are also trying to relocate to the Cary area and also have a LD son that will need OT and speech. I called the director of Exceptional Education Wake County --Lia Christakos to find out more information. If your son is on an IEP, by law they have to provide accommodations. Apparently they have resource services at every school but self contained Regional Program classes are only at select schools. Wake County seems overwhelmed yet progressive. They said they would review my child's IEP and do additional testing if they felt it was necessary. Where we live now I had to request testing for two years in order to get the full psychoeducational evaluation.

Good luck!
