I love Dr. Scales at NC Center for dermatology....they have caught two melanomas before they turned bad enough to need drastic care. North Carolina Center for Dermatology
Good luck!

I had a follow-up with Kendall Hash and she was much more punctual and
thorough. I'd give her another chance.

Blue Ridge Dermatoogy. Dr O'Rourke. She's thorough but she can seem rushed. I don't like how the office wants you to have different appts for everything though. It's just a way to get more money out of you.

Kind of surprised no one mentioned Dr. Ginger Smith in Raleigh. She's fab and she checked out my moles as well as my acne. My skin is super clear now. Check her out!

I vote for someone at Duke, they are used to handling unusual cases. Although not all Drs. are great there, I think if you get a referral to their dermotology clinic you will at least get to talk to a resident who will spend a lot of time with you and then consult with a mentor that is probably one of the top skin specialist in the country. Everytime I have used the clinic I have felt they do a great job.

I'm actually looking for a Derm for one of my kiddos too, over the counter isn't working. General practitioner just seems to have a standard treatment for everyone (it didn't work either)

I would love some recommendations for pretty much anywhere within 30 mins of Apex, if they are good.
