I am in need of a live domestic large sized pig for a small low budget movie that we are making in Durham. We are willing to pay for the pig and handler. The pig would only be needed for approximately one hour next week (possibly Thursday, 4/19). Any suggestions?

"1 hour?"

Figuring on knocking it out in one take?
Hope your pig is a skilled thespian...

Try contacting one of the local farms like Coon Rock Farm.

What did one Thesbian Pig say to another?

"Dang, we do taste like Chicken!"

(Oh wait, I think I got my words confused....) hahaha

OK, for a serious answer, go to the farmers market, there are several "farms" there that sell pork products, I'm sure one can either provide a pig, or point you in the right direction. (I'm not talking about Nahunta, but more about the couple of places in the inside building on top of the hill....)

You might also contact Pig Pals, a non-profit rescue organization based in the Triangle. They specialize in minis and their sanctuary is not open to the public, but I was privileged to visit it once a few years ago, and saw they had an assortment of breeds/sizes. Not sure if that's still the case but if not perhaps they could point you in the right direction.
Edit: ask for Penny, she is WONDERFUL, she may be interested in doing this with one of her own pets. Plus would be a nice plug for the rescue. Let me know if you go this angle and it works out!

You might try the Arkansas Athletic Dept--they just let one go, and he's probably looking for a job.

(I couldn't resist....and here I am, a good Razorback and all.......)

Wow, never heard of Pig Pals! That sounds like a great resource for you, but if that doesn't work out, you might contact your local 4-H chapter's Youth Livestock Program.
