I am close to accepting a job offer in Raleigh and will need to relocate my family from Ft Lauderdale. Can anyone recommend a trustworthy moving company that they have had good experience with? I have an average sized 3BR home. (If this violates the TOS, just PM me.) Having done several moves from FL to PA, I may choose one of the PA moving companies who moved me before if I do not receive strong recommendations for a local Raleigh company.

I will not do a POD or Upack. I want someone who will load/unload the truck and do a decent job with some of our more fragile furniture and antiques. I will probably pack everything myself unless my company pays for the movers to pack me up.

Thank you in advance.

I've had a lot of interaction with DeHavens, an affiliate of North American Van Lines, for local moves, and they're great (I would use Trosa for local moves, but my business has a very long-term contract with DeHavens so we're stuck with them). Since they're part of a national chain, it shouldn't be hard to get them to coordinate the move. The folks unpacking on this end will be very hard-working and pleasant to deal with.
