Been a while since Ive posted here. Moved here going on 3 years ago. Should have done it 10 years ago. NC fits like a glove. Went thru some very hard times. Came here, all is great, right from the get-go, every minute of it. Living just east of Raleigh. Post up if you've had a similar experience.

That's awesome! I DID move here (to the Triangle from the coast) 10 years ago, but had the same experience as you. Glad things are working out for you!

Same here. We've been here almost 3 yrs. We didn't expect to find a place we loved as well as our last location (friends, house, "setting") so imagine our delight to find it even better than before. We fell in love with the subdivision and a specific lot, so we built--and we thought 2 out of 3 ain't bad, but then friends in the 'hood started rolling in and we knew we'd hit the total jackpot--again!

AGREE. Except for the current salary / lack of increase it has been great. Been here since 09. Unfortunately it is not the same for my wife. At least it hasn't been recently. So she is "working" back in Michigan training as a real estate appraiser and wants to stay in Michigan..

I will need to find some type of work there before I can go.

We loved the lower crime and better schools after coming from New Orleans in 1989.

So many nice apartments and reasonable rents.

Same here. I am coming up on my 1 year anniversary and have felt happy and at home since the very first day. I used to say that I wished I had moved here earlier, but I think I had to experience the "bad" in order to fully appreciate the good.

We are really enjoying it! My kids have lots of friends and are spending more time playing outdoors. I love the climate and the people are great. I'm glad we made the move.
