Seriously?

Welcome to education 101. I came down from Michigan in 2009. As for questions, as has been asked--What counties?

Not that it matters a whole lot, but here will be the basic questions--

WHY DO YOU WANT TO TEACH IN NC?
Where we haven't seen step increases or cost of living increases since 2008. Insurance only covers employee, spouse and family runs another $400 month..

What are the Common Core State Standards and have you any knowledge of them?

Differentiated Instruction? What is it, can / have you done it and tell us about it.

Authentic Assessment? What is it? How do / have you done it, tell us about it.

What experiences have you with a reading program? Direct reading? Language! program?

If a students does X, do you send him to the office? Why or why not?

When do you send a student to the office? For what types of offenses?

Have you ever taught in a RURAL / URBAN / TRANSIENT school before?

What issues are associated with this type of school setting?

How will you adjust to the culture shock from Michigan to living here in this COUNTY / CITY ?

Are you familiar with SIOP?

Tell me again WHY you want to be in NC?

Best of luck. We (wife and I ) are heading back to Michigan in July. We have loved it here, teaching is pretty good (while it lasts) and be prepared for STANDARD 6 of the teacher evaluation that goes into effect this 2012-2013 year...
