tech companies with community presence?
Hello,
Been trying to get to NC for awhile and will be moving into the Raleigh area from Southern California soon, but I'm not one of the well-heeled transplants with lots of cash to throw around. What I do have is a yen for a writing/editing position (technical or marketing). I've covered software development, manufacturing, and health care administration, and could also work documentation wonders in medical, aerospace, academic, or engineering environments.
If anyone here can recommend companies that contribute to community causes in the Raleigh metro area, I'd sure appreciate it. In my experience, they're more likely to recognize a go-to guy for nonfiction without raising eyebrows at a lack of NC work history (so far).
