Just moved to Cary from Memphis (well that alone is a WHOLE other discussion!!!!!! LOL!). We love the outdoor festivals back home that are typically in the fall. I have done a zillion searches on the net to find some here...but not much luck.
Anything like Durham's Centerfest or Cary's Laze days? Anything outdoors with music, arts & crafts, food? I am still getting acquainted with all of these small towns surrounding the triangle...but a heads-up on any events in a 50 mile radius would be appreciated. I do know about the Junior League show in October.
What about Octoberfest? I am planning on being down in the triangle in October and I had heard some of the local brewery themed places do Octoberfest. Anyone?
I don't think there are a huge amount of "fall" festivals I can think of. Maybe some smaller ones around and Oktoberfest. The state fair is in the October though.
Here's a list I found on a website...it has all types of events though, not just "festivals". DOesn't give the dates though.

There is a music festival in Carrboro on the 29th I think. My brother's band is playing in it. He says it's not too big, but we will go regardless since he'll be playing.
It is Festifall on West Franklin Street in Chapel Hill this afternoons. Arts and crafts, music, food and activities for kids.
