I agree with everyones posts. You can add to the list Symphony Lake along Regency Parkway in Cary. I don't know if anyone mentioned but I think there is a greenway up by Falls Lake as well.

I was just at Shelly Lake yesterday and I just love it. I think I heard there are 56 miles of greenways and once you get to Shelly you can go a couple of directions on the greenways. I would recommend doing a search on the internet and you can go from there.
