Dear ll,
I have a natual gas leak in attic and the gas company had come to confirm to it already. The gas company says it is not their responsibility unless we pay $150/hour + material. I am a little surprised as everybody told me the gas company should take care of it and many plumbers I tried don't want to touch gas. Is there anybody had such experience to share or if I have to find a plumber, is there any good ones to refer? How much is the reasonable cost? I am in cary/morrisville area. The gas company is PSNC.
Thanks so much!

I never heard of a plumber that didn't work with gas lines. I thought they all did.

Poole's Plumbing did a nice job on my tankless hot water heater.

I believe that like the power company, PSNC is only responsible up to the meter. Anything past that, you are responsible for.

Cary Plumbing definitely works with natural gas - at least they did when they installed my new gas water heater!

Odd looking website, but we've used Project Services from Cary for gas work. The owner is actually a former "pipe fitter".
Plumbing & Electrical contractors. All types of service work and repair. Sales and installations of replacement water heaters, installation of household appliances.

Oh, and PSNC did verify that the gas to your house was turned off - right?
