There is a little place that opened in wake forest, called the Dairy Depot (used to be a drive thru only coffee joint) on rogers road. Anyhow, they have really good hotdogs!!!! I was impressed when I was there......

if you are in the area, it is worth a shot.

Drove down Franklin St today and saw that that new hot dog joint I mentioned is called "Hot Dogs & Brew" at least for the time being. Still haven't stopped and tried them, but if you're in the neighborhood...

Here's a little bit more info: The Herald-Sun - Help Hot Dogs Brews find a name

I've had Zack's and it is great! I didn't mention it here because it's not really in the area, but it's dang good too. I'm kinda a hotdog nut and try to find a good one where ever I'm at and luckily a business meeting brought me to Burlington and thus to Zack's a few weeks back.

Been there several times but would take Jones' in Clayton over Zack's.

Just gave in to the temptation for a Snoopy's Hot Dog & Fries.
It's those fries that I can't resist. Krinkle cut, perfectly crispy
with a soft center !!!

Anybody tried Elmo's Diner (Carrboro/Durham) for a good hotdog? Went there this weekend, they were pretty good! Then I went to a Bulls game last night and had my first (and last) Brightleaf... Wow...hotdog fail...

Also, had a great dog from the Pig in Chapel Hill. Really good quality hotdog. But I know for some people the "best" is not necessarily synonymous with the highest quality, so to each his own.
