First, when is the Soleil center construction slated to begin? What is the completion date?

My husband and I are thinking about neighborhoods near it like Oak park or Laurel Hills. Do you think the property values will increase due to the structure?

We used to live in Oak Park and loved it back there. Due to unforseencircumstances we had to move, but otherwise, we'd still be living back there. I miss it!
That being said, I don't think the center will affect the prices back there much.

Neighborhoods near Crabtree and Soleil Center will do really well in terms of value growth. I don't think Soleil Center will affect it one way or the other. In addition to Oak Park and Laurel Hills, I'd also look at Brookhaven of the neighborhoods up North Hills Drive near Crabtree.

Those property values are so strong, it is difficult to imagine how the Soleil Center could improve them.
Or hurt them.

Laurel Hills has some beautiful homesites, in their own little world...

IMO it looks totally out of place and wish they would have built it downtown. That building next to that bank looks SOOO out of place. Don't get me wrong the building looks nice and unique, but the building in that location just doesn't do it for me.

That is old news. They put new cranes, new posters and a new sales office on the site within the last week, the building will certainly take shape by next summer. Developers are building the 14 story creedmoor tower to the south and the 19 story soleil center 2 right next to the soleil center. The soleil center won't look too out of place.

Looks like they are trying to make the Crabtree area into a mini Tysons Corner, VA? Tysons is about 8 miles from DC and Crabtree is about 5 miles from downtown. Tysons has some of the worst traffic in NoVA. I'd hate to think what Crabtree might be like in 10 years.

I think building some other buildings along with the bigger one, will make it look much better IMO.
