Does anyone know of a housing community or housing development in Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, Cary that has both an indoor and outdoor pool? I know Carolina Preserve has both. (And I know of Triangle Aquatic Ctr and Pullen Aquatic Ctr. which of course are great options) I am interested in buying a home in the area and would like an outdoor pool in my community when weather permits and an indoor pool for inclement weather. I've scoured the internet but find no other housing development that has both. Any suggestions?

There's the Riverwood Athletic Club in the Riverwood development in Clayton. Is that too far out for you?

One builder has one-story house plans around $165K that I though might be suitable for seniors. However, the community markets to families, but I could consider it. The houses are much less than something in Carolina Preserve.

I know of none in Chapel Hill. (There are community aquatic centers.)

Yeah, Homestead Aquatic Center is very nice in Chapel Hill, but it's only indoors. There are jillions of neighborhood pools around Chapel Hill, though, so if you bought some place with a neighborhood pool for the summer you could go to Homestead for the winter.

I believe Governor's Club in Chatham offers both, but you would need to belong to the club.

ETA: Yes, I just confirmed it has both. Here are some photos: http://www.governorsclub.com/pool.php

Thanks for the tip. There are some M/I homes that are small Craftsman bungalow homes that I might be interested in in the future. The smaller ones are one-level, and the larger ones have a main-floor master.
